Two questions on “The Grid” add-on tool included with X:

1. Where can I see and/or adjust the font used in captions & alt text that shows up as an overlay on this page: http://c84.f15.myftpupload.com/art-gallery/bird-art-prints/

2. I am using the Roma skin that includes a lightbox of images when clicked. My post type is Media Library and I need the photos to show up in order of their Title, but they are showing up in the order they appear in the “Source” tab (the order that they were uploaded). At the bottom of the Source page, I have the “ordering” set to “Ascending” order “By Title.”

Notice from the screenshot below or on link above – “Hummingbirds SSHum Birds” image is showing in last spot on grid because it’s last alphabetically, but when you click the image, the lightbox shows it as 1/23, so if you scroll through the images in the lightbox, it’s not in order. That’s because the image is in the #1 spot on the backend Source page as it was uploaded last. As I upload more images, the numbering will be all out of whack. How can I get them in ascending order by title on Source page automatically as well so these match?

Using most updated version of WP, X (ethos), Cornerstone and all plugins. I’ve poured hours into learning this included plugin, but can’t find these answers.

Hi Dawn,

1.) The overlay text is using H2 html tag. Since it’s a heading, it’s using the font you have set for HEADINGS via Appearance > Customize > Typography > Headings Font. If you want this to have different font, please use the following custom CSS:

.tg-item .light h2 {
    font-family: "Capriola",sans-serif !important; /*Change this to your preferred font*/
}

2.) Upon checking, the order of the image inside the lightbox is the same order on how the image thumbnail is displayed. See this:http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cDfr6c1EAY
This might be cache on your site. Please delete browser cache or use incognito mode. If not please do give us more clarification.

Thanks for #1, but #2 is still an issue. You can even see in your recording how the last image in “The Grid” is numbered 1/23 but it should be 23/23 since it’s in the last position if it were in the right order. Unfortunately these are not coming in correctly in ABC order in the numbering or when you view them in the lightbox in order.

In other words, they LOOK like they are in order on the live website, until you choose and image and click it to view in light box. Then, they go in the upload order, not ABC.

I just uploaded a new “placeholder” image called “Birds CCC”. It displays on the screen alphabetically here: http://c84.f15.myftpupload.com/art-gallery/bird-art-prints/

BUT when you click the image Birds CCC image, you will notice it’s numbered 24/24 but it should be 14/24 as it displays on the screen – and THAT’s the order it displays in when you view items in the lightbox by clicking the arrows left or right.

Thanks for writing in!

I’ve done some extensive testing on my own site and wasn’t able to replicate this issue, I’ve then tried to check the issue on your site, but get an invalid username/password error. Can you double check the provided credentials please?

Hello Dawn,

The username is still not correct (http://prntscr.com/avrdp9).

And by the way, please edit your grid and make sure that Grid Type is set to just “Grid”. When you set it to masonry or justified, isotope script will layout your grid like a brick. And in laying a brick, the items will be arrange the way it would be fit for the layout.

I have this set like that on purpose because I don’t want my images cropped. I just need help with the order of the images. Can someone else please help me? Please see all my notes and screenshots that I already took time to submit.

I am able to login now.
I visited this URL:http://c84.f15.myftpupload.com/art-gallery/bird-art-prints/, it is page not found.
I tried to check the other grid. I found out that you’re using Justified under Type and not Grid. Justified is the same with Masonry. It will adjust your content just to fit the position. Can you try using Grid Type?
