Hey!

I am using “The Grid” to display multiple forms of content across our entire site. I feel like I have exhausted all resources to get one feature to respond how I want. Hoping someone can offer some insight or a solution.

I have an archives page of all our posts that visitors can use to filter and search for content. When I add the categories to the filter dropdown it will only show all of the items in the dropdown if I set the grid to load “all items of the current select source”. The problem with this is I have a lot of posts and the grid takes a long time to load. And the number of posts grows daily.

I would like a category list that display all categories or desired filters and then loads all content with ajax upon request.

Any thought or help would be amazing!

– Regretfully, this particular customization request is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself. Thank you for the reply. I guess I shouldn’t have been so descriptive. I am really seeking answers on functionality of the grid plugging.

I am not able to reach out to them for support because the plungin is bundled with x. Is there a way within the plugin to populate the dopdown filter without loading the entire grid. Say load 12 posts with a load more button at the bottom but still show the entire category filter.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing back. What you are getting is usual feature of The Grid. It’s a bundled yet third party plugin so we can’t alter any functionality. So what you are looking for would be possible with custom development which is out of our support scope.
