I’m getting this error when trying to activate ‘The Grid’ plugin!

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /…./enactusslc.ca/wp-content/plugins/the-grid/includes/item-skin.class.php on line 45

Hi, I am receiving this error as well, although I am receiving it after install and activation. I see it whenever I try to add a new page now.

I have updated my PHP version to 5.4, made sure WP was on the latest version and updated my x theme as well. Is this a simple fix you can guide me to?

Oddly enough, it seems to have worked itself out overnight, and everything is working well now. Thanks!

    Hi Carissa,

Please try to login through FTP and go to wp-content/plugins then delete the current the-grid directory that is in there. Once you have deleted it, go back to WordPress admin and reinstall and try to activate The Grid plugin again.

Let us know how it goes.

And I’m back. The problem has been solved. It looks like I just needed to update my server PHP to 5.3

    Thanks for a great theme!
