marksmithersParticipantHi,
I’m trying to use this technique http://theme-one.com/docs/the-grid/#!/grid_as_template to get The Grid to be a search results template. I’ve modified the _index.php page in my child theme to include this line:
<?php The_Grid(‘Artefacts’, true); ?>
The page just stops generating when it gets to that line. I’m not seeing anything related in the error logs.
Will this technique work with the version The Grid included with X? Or do I need to use a newer version? Will a newer version of The Grid work with X?
Tx
Mark

ChristianModeratorHey Mark,
Regretfully, this particular customization request is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself. If you have any further questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries.
Thank you for your understanding.

marksmithersParticipantHi Christian,
I’m not sure I understand. I wan’t really asking for customisation. I was just asking whether or not you knew if that technique would work and if I needed a newer version of The Grid. I can’t use their support forum because they ask for a purchase code and this version of The Grid comes with Theme X.
But no worries. I’ll go and buy the latest version of The Grid and hope it works.

RupokMemberHi Mark,
Thanks for updating. we bundle the unmodified version of The Grid hence we can’t assist on such customization that needs template changes; that’s why it’s out of our scope. As you are going to purchase a standalone license you will be able to reach to them directly and they would be best to answer this.
Cheers!
