    Hello,

I am having problems with “The Grid” plugin that comes with the X Theme. I have a category page in which I previously had it set to “On Scroll” in the Load/Ajax setting. When I do this it will load the correct categories and then when I scroll down further on the page it says comes up with some message saying no results and then will load more categories that aren’t even associated with that category. For example: I have a animals category and all the animals on that page load and then when I scroll down further I receive the no results message (it’s longer than that but disappears so fast I didn’t catch the whole message) and then it continues to display another category such as plants and the books category.

Also, another problem that I am experiencing again with the “On Scroll” option in “The Grid” is that on my books category the overlay on the “Skin” quits functioning. For example it comes up with “3D Cover” Skin overlay but when trying to click on the link or the link to open the image bigger it disappears creating a frustrating cycle of trying to get to the links before they disappear (so far I’ve not been quick enough to capture them :D). The site is: http://plants-animals-northeast-colorado.com/animals/. The book page I’m referring to is: http://plants-animals-northeast-colorado.com/books/. The front page of the site seems to work fine but the category pages are the ones that I’m having issues with.

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Jen

    Hi Jen,

    Thanks for posting in.

Would you mind providing your admin login credentials? I like to see your setting first.

    Thanks!

    Hi Jen,

Ah, I see. In that case, please provide your FTP login credentials too. It’s the only way I could check your templates.

But I went ahead and checked and confirmed the issue, but I can’t find which setting is causing it.

    Thanks!

We have another question on The Grid (should I open a new post for it?) – on this site, with hundreds (soon thousands) of images, if you navigate in the lightbox and find what you want, you can be completely lost when you close the lightbox and are back in the grid view, trying to find the same image/post you just wanted to go to.

So when clicking on a grid item icon to open the lightbox, we’d really like to be able to click on the picture (ie. the large image displayed in the lightbox) to open that post.

There doesn’t seem to be a setting for this, any template we can modify or other solution?

    Thanks!

    Hi Jen,

About your last question, unfortunately, there is no available option for that. I’m not sure if it’s possible through customization either since the lightboxes are 3rd party library too, it’s just embedded within the plugin.

About the grid, it seems random and it’s a bug as I can reproduce it once on my installation. Please use pagination instead of Ajax Loading. I’ll forward this as bug.

    Thanks!

    Hi Rad,

I did try the “Ajax Pagination” option with “On Scroll” and it had the same effect. I set it back to “On Click” and will have to deal with the inability to infinitely scroll down the page for now, which is really something that our client wanted on the site. Thank you for forwarding that bug on to the right party. Please let me know if you hear anything about them coming up with a solution to this issue.

    Thanks,

    Jen

    Hi there,

I mean the normal pagination instead of Ajax Loading/Pagination. This is already forwarded and marked as bug, though I can’t tell when the fix will be available since it’s a 3rd party plugin. Please stay tuned.

    Thanks!
