phoenixquestParticipantHello,
Hopefully this has not been answered, I tried searching but couldn’t find my specific issue. First of all I am very new to this theme and haven’t really done a lot of web work in recent years. I may be trying to do something with this tool that it isn’t designed for.
My issue is the text type tool does not appear to complete its string on mobile when I set it to looks like H3, or on the desktop when I set it to looks like H4.
I thought at first it might be due to caching plugins, but I have disabled the ones I use (tried 2 to see if it made a difference) and the problem still seems to exist. I am not sure if I am using it wrong or what. Any thoughts? The page is: http://www.phoenixquestcenter.com/test (edited to put up a test site so my live site is not broken. Replaced text type with just a header for now.)
I of course also want to use caching plugins as well so I hope they are not causing an issue here. I have tried both Comet Cache and W3 Total Cache.
Thanks,
Michael

JoaoModeratorHi Michael
Upon Checking your website your type tool seems to display fine on desktop and mobile.
Would mind clarifying what is the issue?
Thanks
Joao

phoenixquestParticipantWhen I look at it on my mobile….on the test page I created, it only prints out part of the message right now. It stops with the cursor blinking at random places and does not complete. I am using the mobile chrome browser. For example right now I have “do you want your” and the flashing cursor below that.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for the updates! I have tested the text type and look into the issue you are experiencing. Basically, the use of text type is to have an alternate typing text. That is why you have a suffix, strings and prefix. In the string content, you should have a group of text separated by line breaks. Text type are not meant to display a whole sentence. It should only be use to display part of the sentence. And this is why it is not displaying properly on smaller screen because the string content is too long.
Hope this explains it briefly.

phoenixquestParticipantOk…that is what I was afraid of…trying to fit a square peg in a round hole 😉 It seemed to work some of the time so I wasn’t sure if there was something else causing an issue. Will have to search for another tool for what I am trying to do. Thanks for the help!
