DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

JadeModeratorHi there,
Yes, you can change it by adding this code in the CSS Customizer:
.x-text-type .typed-cursor { color: #000; }You may change the color value to whatever you require.
Hope this helps.

goughsParticipantHello
I’m trying to change the colour of Text Type too. I’ve inserted the code you suggested above; .x-text-type .typed-cursor {
color: #000;
}
but it doesn’t seem to make any difference.
Regards
Phillip

LelyModeratorHello Philip,
Thanks for posting in. Upon checking the cursor on Text type element doesn’t even show.
You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time. If this doesn’t solve the problem, would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / passwordDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

NueraParticipantI’d like to make the new flashing cursor a different color, is this possible?
It’s right on our homepage at http://www.nueramarketing.com

ThaiModeratorHi Nuera,
Upon checking your website, I can see that the type cursor is already in black:

Can you confirm with me?
Thanks.

NueraParticipantYes, it’s black. But I wanted to change it to a different color. It looks like a glitch on the screen as-is.

FriechModeratorHi There,
You can add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer.
span.typed-cursor { color: red !important; }Hope it helps, Cheers!
January 25, 2016 at 9:25 pm #764182
NueraParticipantThat only affects the line within the blinking cursor, which I was already was able to fix.
I’m trying to affect just the blinking element.
Thanks

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Provided code should work.
I can’t find where you added type text element. Please provide us with URL of page in question and login credentials so we can take a closer look.
Thanks.

gdi2kParticipantI have the same issue. I have this in my custom CSS:
.x-text-type .typed-cursor { color: #000; }However, the cursor (flashing element) still remains black and looks ugly as I have white text. It looks like #post-763098 above.
I have found this to be caused by the ConvertPlug plugin. Disabling this plugin solves the problem and the cursor returns to its intended design and color with no black flashing element. See attachment.
Any way to fix? I love the CursorPlug, but also would like to use the Text Type feature 🙂
