kitchenHEISTParticipantHi there,
I have had X for some time now and I think it’s great.
I have a plan of building another website, but not sure if I am going to realize it completely and move it to the actual hosting stage.
Is there any way to create a separate website with X before launching it to the public or buying another license? I hope you understand my concern. ThanksSeptember 4, 2016 at 8:14 pm #1161023
Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! You can always use X to several number of installations. You can only validate X one site at a time though. Should you plan to have another website, that wouldn’t be a problem at all. Simply create a staging site and install X. With one license, you can also validate up to 2 sites. One for your main site and the other is for the staging site. To be able to do that, please do the following:
1] Please login to your account and assign the license. You need to assign the license to your site using this url: https://www.example.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
2] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license code to validate your site.
3] You can go back to #1 and #2 to validate the staging site. And please review the changes that we made on how you are going to validated your X theme because we made a big change in the process. Please check it out here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/
