Sheila RParticipantI’ve been trying to figure out why my site is not showing an update available. I’m running 4.3.2 and the current version is 4.5.2, but it says the theme is up to date. I logged on to Envato and went to the downloads area, and it says that my support has expired and I have to renew it. Is that why automatic updates aren’t working? If so, that’s upsetting. I now have three sites running X, and I would not have recommended it to clients if I’d known you were going to start charging a support fee just to keep the theme running.

JoaoModeratorHi Sheila,
There is no relation between extended support and your website not updating.
Also we are kind of flexible so even if you ran out of support time we will help you figuring out what is hapenning to your website.
Please try revoking and re-assigning your theme and evertyhing should work normally ( as it should)
Please do the following:
1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation.
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license. https://community.theme.co/my-account/
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.Try to upgrade X and any plugin that comes as an addon to the latest versions according to our changelog.
If you face any troubles, please reach us any time.
Thanks
Joao

Sheila RParticipantOh, hey, thanks. I appreciate the response. I don’t generally need a lot of support, and it would mainly be if something didn’t work right after an update, which has happened in the past. I was concerned that the support fee meant the theme “expired” if you didn’t pay the fee. I’m glad to know I was wrong!
Anyway, I went to X-Addons -> Home and I don’t see a way to revoke the license. Just the welcome message and the version, and some informational blocks. If I go to X-Addons -> Product Validation I can see the product key, and an “Update API Key” button, but no revoke button.
Thanks

Sheila RParticipantI couldn’t figure out how to revoke the license from within WordPress per step one, but I went ahead with step 2, revoked and reassigned the license in my themeco account, then in WordPress I re-submitted the validation. It says that it’s validated, but it’s still showing me no updates for the theme. I’m running Version 4.3.2, but according to the dashboard, the current version is 4.5.2.

FriechModeratorHi There,
Automatic update of latest version of WordPress has an issue with previous version of X.
In this case please follow the manual update guide provided here: https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/
After a successful manual update, please re-validate the site (see Joao’s post above).
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers!
