iTurtleParticipanthello there,
i have problem with a otherwise nice plugin: http://ruablogsubscriber.com/rua-lite-documentation/
i found this after a long search for that function and really want to use it. but…the problem is that most of the time the input fields do not show the letters. only a small dot appears. seems to be pretty unconnected to the browser or os i use. maybe a conflict with the theme? the developer guesses so. you can see it here in action: http://ganzheitlichepraxis.de/blog/
now i wonder if there is anything i can do about it. css fix?
thanks a million! kai

ChristianModeratorHey there,
Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
Thank you for your understanding.

iTurtleParticipanthi christian,
thanks for your fast reply.
as i wrote i am aware of you no being able to support all the various third party plug-ins. totally understandable!
but i was wondering if you could give me just a hint if such issues could be (generally) solvable with some custom css. because i am trying now since yesterday with custom css. i succeeded to change the font and size of the input fields. but it did not solve the problem up to now.
so it would be great if you just could let me know it this is the way to go. then i will keep trying 😉
thanks again!! kaiDecember 15, 2016 at 7:52 am #1294207
LelyModeratorHello Kai,
Are you referring to the widget below the title Blog Abonnieren on the sidebar? It seems fine when I check on different browser. It depends specifically on the issue whether it is fixable using custom CSS. As of now, I can’t see any issue. But most probably yes, custom CSS will work.

iTurtleParticipanthi lely,
yes that is the widget i was referring to. the blog subscription input fields. the text inside these input fields was so low it was almost invisble.meanwhile i solved the problem with the input fields by using this custom css code for each input field. this is the “name” field:
#ruaname {
padding: 0px 0px 0px 6px;
}
it took me quite a while to figure that out. but it works perfectly. maybe the theme has some default values which move the input text too low in the input field???
thanks a lot! kaiDecember 21, 2016 at 9:28 am #1300599
ChristianModeratorGlad you’ve sorted it out. The problem is not with X but the plugin. It has huge padding.
