I made a duplicate of this site (http://nucanorthtexas.com) so I could make some changes to create a new site based on this exact design but for some reason, the drop down menus do not work at all. I haven’t a clue.

    Hi Houston,

You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes.

before I even turned off plugins, I switched to the Twenty Sixteen theme and the menus worked fine. Does that not suggest that it is something with the X theme? I even tried the X theme (not the child) and menu still did not work. Also, I can not get the footer to show up either. Again, it does when I switch the theme.

    Many thanks,
    Houston

    Hello Houston,

Unfortunately, the password you have provided is not working. Please double check.
I saw this error on the console:
Uncaught TypeError: c.hoverIntent is not a function
If you do have custom codes added, please try to remove it also and then check again. If the problem still persists, please try reinstalling the theme. Login via FTP and then go to wp-content/themes/. Delete x folder and then you may install the theme again. Do let us know how this goes.

    Hi there,

It’s because your site is not fully loaded due to the sliders you added in the widget. It says “Record not found”. Since there are no sliders being displayed ( no selected slider ), I just disabled them so you could check it. You’ll find the slider widgets from inactive widgets section.

    Thanks!

I will try and fix the slider but I am confused as to what the slider has to do with the menu subitems and the footer not showing up?

    Hi again,

That’s because your site is not loading completely due to the sliders. I just checked your site now and sub menu works fine as well as footer.

    Cheers!
