Oliver VParticipantHello!
I have a license questions. Not clear what I have found in the forum.
I have my syte http://www.example.com with a WP installation and X license running.
Now, I want to have my blog in: myblog.example.com, with other WP installation. My blog is related to the main page http://www.example.com, but I want to control it with a separate wordpress installation.
1. Do I need other license?
2. If not, I supposed that the only thing I will have to do is manually updates in my blog due that the API is applyed in the main domain http://www.example.com
Thanks!
Oliver.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in and the very detailed post information.
1] Yes you need to have a license if you validate a sub domain. It would be possible to use one single license for this because for every 1 license you can validate 2 WP installation. You can simply assign http://www.example.com as your production site and blog.example.com as your development site.2] Not necessarily manual. You can always revoke and reassign the license from one site to another so that you can do updates within your dashboard’s automatic updates. Please keep in mind that these automatic updates needs you to physically hit the update button to initiate the updates. You need X theme validation so that you can connect to our plugin repository to update the bundled plugins.
To properly do the validation/revalidation, please follow this:
1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation (https://s3.amazonaws.com/community-themeco/app/uploads/2016/04/17110514/Capture53.jpg).
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license.
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.example.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again. And please review the changes that we made on how you are going to validated your X theme because we made a big change in the process. Please check it out here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/
