I want to set up the following subdomains off my site:

    print.domain.com
    design.domain.com
    store.domain.com

I want to do this so that I can install X theme on each of those to allow me to have multi-pages to my site that all have full x theme customizability. rather than my homepage looking great and my “pages” looking plane as Jane.

How do I do this successfully? without having to purchase multiple licenses.

When I install x_theme.zip to print.domain.com and enter my key from my main domain site it says I can’t.

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! One license can be used in two instances of X theme installations. Basically each of your sub-domain will count as a separate WordPress installation and you need have additional license(s) to validate those instances.

For more information, please refer (https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/).

    Hope that’s clear.

Even though it’s all for same site? just for different pages so it’s not all on one page? I don’t see y its been limited the way it has and doesn’t allow the features to be used on
    “pages” or “portfolio” etc

    Hey There,

    Thanks for writing in!

Sorry if there is any cofusion. Licenses work on multisites or even multiple installs as long as they are on the same domain. For example http://www.yourdomain.com/site1 to http://www.yourdomain.com/site6 will work, however site1.yourdomain.com will not work and will require separate licenses for each if you are doing separate installs.

You would need to do a WordPress multisite install and validate on the main domain. In a multisite install you can set it to use folders (www.yourdomain.com/site1) or subdomains (site1.yourdomain.com) the main domain controls the theme settings accross all sites so if you validate there it gets passed down to all sites within the multisite network.

Hope this helps clear things up.

    Thanks for your understanding!
