    Hi,
    I did a search but it seems that people were discussing this a lot in 2014 and it was a feature request. I haven’t found anything more recent. Last suggestion was creating a child theme and change the functions.php file in post #
    #66964. Is this still the only way?

    I attached an image of what I’m trying to accomplish.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for writing in! To show the recent post excerpt, you will have to extend the functionality using your child theme as mentioned.

    No problem. I just thought I’d ask since it had been awhile.

    I did it and it’s working. I wish I could control the output a bit more and have a read more. Would REALLY love that feature!

    Thanks for a great product though.

    Hi Kerri,

    Thanks for the suggestion. This feature had been added to our list but the implementation really depends on the level of priority for each functionality. You can always visit our changelog to see the new features added in every update released.
