getonlinephParticipantHi, I noticed that when you have many pages on Portfolio, it only sort the items on that page. so if you are on page 1 only the items on page 1 will be sorted when you click a category.
Is this an issue or this is how it really supposed to behave? because if you sort it then you click the paging navigation the sort will be reset.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please increase number of ‘Posts Per Page’ under ‘Portfolio settings’ box to a greater value. This number should be at least equal to number of existing portfolio items.
Hope it helps.

getonlinephParticipanthello thanks for the reply. but the page will slow down if I will display all the items in one page only. the number of items might grow and I think having them in one page is not a good idea. anymore solution please? thanks

LelyModeratorHi There,
Portfolio sorting only works within the scope of current page by default. It doesn’t pull the items from other pages. So if a portfolio items doesn’t exist in the current page, the sorting won’t pull it from other pages and display in the current page.
This was already added as feature request. If you wish to achieve this now, it could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.
Thanks for understanding. Take care!
