ChrisParticipantAfter recent updates to WordPress and Revolution Slider, the slider plugin is not working. The Slider Revolution page in the WP Admin panel shows the plug-in is not activeated, but this is included in the X theme. How do I resolve this?

ChrisParticipantA little more info… I am seeing conflicting information in the various menus:
‘X-Addons’ shows Slider Revolution “Installed & Activated”
‘Plugins’ also shows Slider Revolution as Activated. I tried deactivating here and re-activating both here and via X-Addons without success
‘Slider Revolution’ shows the Plugin Activation “Not Activated.”Thanks.

Paul RModeratorHi Chris,
Please ignore the activation notice, revslider comes bundled with theme and there is no need to activate it.
Kindly refer to the link below for more information.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! Are you referring to this plugin activation?

This section displays that your Slider Revolution is not activated because it is not registered to Themepunch. This plugin is bundled in X and it shall be noted that you will have to get the updates from X plugin repository. You are not required to register and activate the plugin. You will only do that if you have a separate license. To know more how we utilize Slider Revolution plugin in X, please do check out knowledge base: https://community.theme.co/kb/integrated-plugins-revolution-slider/
Thank you for your understanding.

ChrisParticipantWell, if activation is not the issue, there is another issue as there is a slider on the homepage and it is not displaying.

Rue NelModeratorHello Again,
Thanks for updating in! The issue is not with the Slider Revolution plugin or with X theme. The problem is within the minified JS files. I have temporarily disable W3 Total Cache and the slider is showing on the homepage. Since you have installed a caching plugin W3 Total Cache, please clear your plugin cache before testing your site. This can cause the changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.
