cleflerParticipantI have a slider setup that has worked flawless for some time.
I recently took it down to add a slide and when I went to go put it back up on the home page I get a strange circle appearing with a transparent gradient….but only on an iphone (live and preview).I turned layers off, updated the slider with the latest x-theme…still there but only on iphone.
The issue is with every slide after the 1st. The background seems to have a blurred circle right in the middle.

JoaoModeratorHi There,
The circle you mean is the one that is around the number 10?
I Checked your website on my phone and the slider looks good.
Let us know more details about your issue.
Thanks

cleflerParticipantall comments are messed up and blog pages
not sure what to do at this point besides reload a save of the site?June 1, 2016 at 7:51 pm #1021142
cleflerParticipantok, so restored a backup from yesterday just for x theme which brought me back to 4.4.2.
so something is up with the new theme at least for my install.
I use a child theme so it wasn’t a change to my custom code.
I had updated it this afternoon and all the pages that were not created by cornerstone had no header or footer, or sidebar or comments.June 2, 2016 at 2:20 am #1021641
Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Are you using CloudFlare or may have installed a caching plugin like WordFence, W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? Please keep in mind that after doing every updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
Please let us know how it goes.

cleflerParticipantI am using a cdn called KeyCDN with WPRocket. I cleared the cache after the update and after seeing the issues.
Everything went back to normal after I restored the pre-update version.
Kinda weary about updating again without understanding what happened.
No one else had issues with pages not created in cornerstone, or posts and comments?

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I would recommend that you create a staging site. This is very useful because you can test drive any X updates in the staging area, do the customizations and troubleshooting without disrupting your live site. Once everything is perfect, you can easily and flawlessly proceed the update in the live site. To know how to create a staging area, please check out these articles:

cleflerParticipantIs there any advantage to using a staging area instead of whole separate install on a different domain etc.?
June 8, 2016 at 6:33 am #1031658
ChristianModeratorHey there,
Essentially, a staging area is the same as a separate install. However, most web hosts has a feature to move the staging site to live production site in one click.
Thanks.
