EffecticoreParticipantHi guys,
I updated WordPress to the current version and afterwards Slider Revolution plug-in was deactivated and now I can not install it anymore. In the X theme plugin overview it is shown as not installed. And when clicking install, I get the message “error” – but when clicking on Details nothing shows… Any ideas?
Thanks!
Lutz

Robert CParticipantHi. I have exactly the same problem as this after updating a few mins ago.
I initially got a message that it could not install as the directory existed, so I deleted it from the plugins folder.
Now it will not install and says nothing if you click on the error details.
Do I need to start my own support topic to send private details only to Themeco?May 18, 2016 at 6:26 pm #998301
Robert CParticipantHi again.
Luckily I had a copy of the revslider plugin directory and I got back to pre-update status by copying this, however, an update to revslider is indicated and if selected it hangs updating, inserts a maint file and then WP says the plugin is deactivated.

LelyModeratorHi There,
Do you have IP based restriction? I am not able to login to your admin and there’s no error when I check. It’s just doesn’t go through when I tried to login.

EffecticoreParticipantHi Lely,
this problem has also been an issue since the update. The login works after emptying the cache.
Your colleagues had no problem logging in. And to your question: I am not aware of any restrictions.
Please try again with a fresh browser.Best

RupokMemberHi Lutz,
I have find out the issue. There was a failed attempt of installing the plugin and the directory was already created on wp-content/plugins/. Let’s remove the revslider from wp-content/plugins/ and try installing again.
Cheers!

EffecticoreParticipantHi guys,
thanks for the tip. I did delete the folder – but no luck with installing. When clicking install I still get the same Error without any details. Can you please check again?
Thanks,

ChristianModeratorHey Lutz,
The Error Details message says there’s an Internal Server Error (see attachment). Please try the solutions below:
1. Revoke Validation in Addons then validate again. See https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/ for validation instructions
2. Reset or check your WordPress files and folders permission for changes. See https://www.smashingmagazine.com/2014/05/proper-wordpress-filesystem-permissions-ownerships/ for the correct permissions setup.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

EffecticoreParticipantThanks guys! The combination of the 2 did the trick. Had to set folder permissions new and then installation worked again.
Three Thumbs up for your great support!
Best
