MaksemMParticipantHi there,
I recently started using slider revolution again on my site. I got it to work and it looks great, except I am experiencing some media library thumbnail display problems when it is active.
Just wondering if there is a way to fix it.
Many thanks ๐

MaksemMParticipantP.S. New images I upload through the media library won’t display with slider revolution active. I have a custom upload folder for images instead of the default (years and months folders).
Cheers ๐

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thank you for providing the very detailed information. I did some further investigation. I noticed that you are using PHP version 5.4.45 and WordPress 4.5 requires at least 5.6 (https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/). This could possibly be the cause of the issue. In most cases you cannot update your PHP version yourself and need to contact your host about this. The upgrade process is an easy process and should be something your host can do for you without affecting your website or charging you for it. Hereโs a letter you can send to your hosting company:
Dear host, I\'m interested in running the open-source WordPress <https://wordpress.org/> web software and I was wondering if my account supported the following: - PHP 5.6 or greater - MySQL 5.6 or greater - The mod_rewrite Apache module Looking forward to your reply.Hope this helps. Kindly let us know.

MaksemMParticipantHi there,
So the I’ve upgraded the php module to 5.6 however the host said this about MYSQL:
MySQL cannot be upgraded like PHP can on a per user basis. Also this cannot be done on Shared servers in the servers entirety as of yet. The server you're on is a Shared server which means you're not the only customer that has a partition on your server. Also currently an inline upgrade from 5.5 to 5.6 will result in the break of every database reliant site on the server for all customers. As the password hashes are not compatible. Meaning all the passwords would need to be changed for every single database in the whole server. Once this gets fixed and no longer poses that risk our admins will work on updating the 5.6I’m still getting image problems though.
Cheers.

Paul RModeratorHi,
Upon checking, I can see your old images are stored in https://erlkis.com/wp-content/uploads/ and new images in https://erlkis.com/wp-content/uploads/imgs
You need to move all your old image fromhttps://erlkis.com/wp-content/uploads/ to https://erlkis.com/wp-content/uploads/imgs
Thanks

MaksemMParticipantHi,
I just checked my uploads folder and there are no images in there. I can see all my images are already in …/uploads/imgs/ so I’m not too sure what you are referring to.
Cheers

MaksemMParticipantOh, I see what you’re seeing. It says in the media library on the files where the thumbnails have disappeared, the path …/wp-content/uploads/file.jpg – instead of ….wp-content/uploads/imgs/file.jpg.
So that means slider revolution has changed the path of the uploads somehow? Because all the files are actually in the right folder in file manager.
Cheers.

ChristianModeratorSlider Revolution does not change the upload directory. It could be other plugins.
Thanks.
