CompassParticipantRevolution slider works fine on desktop and mobile when added by going to Page Settings: below masthead.
But if the same slider is added as a shortcode on a page, it works on desktop but not on mobile. (Several layers of the slider don’t appear on mobile, while a few do.)

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thank you for posting a very detailed information. Please keep in mind that since parallax is based on mouse movement and page scrolling, parallax usually works best on desktop computers. This is why other layers is not visible or doesn’t quite move in smaller screens. In your case, the placement of the slider is different. It is best that you use the slider right before the navbar and not inside the content area. There are a few factors to consider such as the order of the layers and the placement of containers within the page.
Hope this helps.

CompassParticipantYes, I did spend a lot of time setting up details so you could fix your bug. Your answer is flippant, ignorant, and unacceptable. You did not solve a problem that clearly exists. Please forward this issue to someone who can actually solve the bug in your theme!! I should be able to use a slider ANYWHERE I choose. Otherwise your theme is BS!
Here is an example of Revolution Slider with a 3d design, properly working on desktop or mobile. Tilt your mobile phone and you will see how great it works. http://tornagency.com/behind-your-shoulds/
Of course, this is a different theme. This looks awesome on mobile, so your answer clearly demonstrates your lack of ability to support your own product.
On previous versions of your theme and Revolution Slider I have the slider in the content area just, working just fine on mobile and desktop. Since it works outside of the content area, it is more likely that you have a bug in your theme.
So are you saying that X theme does not properly support Revolution Slider and your only answer is that I should use a different theme if I want to put a slider in my content area?

JoaoModeratorHi There,
First of all I would like to remind you of our Golden Rule:
We ask that the tone be kept courteous and professional (with a little fun on the side). If posts are made outside this realm, we reserve the right to remove them and in certain cases, the user account as well.
I understand you might have frustrations but please try to manner your words specially when we are trying to help you.
Please test the same very slider you have on your website with a different theme and let us know if it is working as expected since you believe it is an X related issue, that will help us findout if the problem is indeed on the theme compatibility with this feature or on the slider settings itself.
Thanks
Joao

JoaoModeratorHi There,
I have tested your sliders on Firefox Android.
The tilting effect on this is working fine on my mobile.

The tilting effect of this site is also working on mobile.

O my end, I checked several times to try to find a difference between the way those sliders display on my mobile but they are displaying exactly the same.
Can you let us know which device and browser you are using while experience the issue? So we can try to find out what is the error you are getting on your end.
Thanks,
Joao

CompassParticipantTesting on Samsung Galaxy S5 using Chrome browser:
Problem: Text layers visible, all graphic layers do NOT appear
http://compassandsail.com/index.php/test2/November 8, 2016 at 2:39 am #1248353
ChristianModeratorUpon checking, yes, the graphics don’t show up on mobile. I deactivated Jetpack and it fixed the issue (see attachment). I then reactivated it and checked if the issue persists again and the slider in http://compassandsail.com/index.php/test2/ still works fine. I double checked on my phone (Note 5) and slider is OK (graphics display fine and tilting does not cause an issue). It looks like some modules on Jetpack causes conflict with Slider Revolution.
Thanks.

CompassParticipantI thought it was Jetpack, but putting two sliders on one page also causes a similar problem.
Please review compassandsail.com/test4
Two sliders on one page. Either slider works fine by itself. But two sliders on one page causes mobile to not allow first slider to be tilt responsive.
Deactivating Jetpack has no effect.
My experience is that any two sliders on one page cause a problem on mobile in that the second slide appears to override the first slider’s settings to some degree.
I have seen some others in the forum have problems with displaying multiple sliders on one page, but their problems were resolved. Unfortunately many times your forums do not tell how other problems were solved. How can I have multiple slides working properly on the same page?
Thanks.

ChristianModeratorIt works fine on my end. See my phone recording https://www.dropbox.com/s/w8rmf877n0r2bav/2016_11_09_16_00_07_16_04_34.mp4?dl=0
Would you mind showing us what’s happening on your end? Please ensure your browser history is cleared.
Thanks.
November 9, 2016 at 2:25 am #1249717
CompassParticipantIt does appear to work until you tilt your phone. Then you will see the bottom slider moves in response to the tilting of the phone, while the top slider does not.
In other words, the 3d features of the top slider stop working when a second slider is added to a page.
On your phone go to http://compassandsail.com/test2. Tilt your phone front to back and side to side and see the layers all move.
Now go to http://compassandsail.com/test4. Tilt your phone and the same top slider no longer moves as you tilt the phone due to a second slider being added to the page.
Please confirm you experience this problem.
Thanks.

ChristianModeratorSorry for the confusion. Yes, 3d features doesn’t work. I see you have 2 X themes installed though. Please remove the old one and then check again. If that doesn’t help, could we switch the theme to the default 2016 theme to check if X is causing this issue?
Thanks.
November 9, 2016 at 8:58 am #1250128
CompassParticipantI removed the old X theme. As expected, this made no difference – the problem still exists.
I turned off all plugins except Slider Revolution. This made no difference, still the problem.
I changed themes, including trying 2016 theme. This made no difference.
Is the version of Slider Revolution that you provide your customers the latest version? It appears that SR has a bug. Can you confirm this bug with SR and get a fix?
