wnhorne246ParticipantNo, I’ve now tested this issue on 5 different iPads. An iPad mini 4, 3 iPad Air 2s and 1 iPad Pro 9.7. I work in IT and have access to many of these devices. This is for sure an issue with the browser not seeing the resolution in landscape as a mobile device.
There has to be a work around?

wnhorne246ParticipantI just tested this issue on an older iPad 2 and found the same issue. For the life of me, I can’t understand how this worked in landscape on your device! Did you try and “start” the video in landscape position? No iPad old and new works for me! This is very frustrating.

RupokMemberHi there,
As I can’t see this on my end so not sure about this. You can try recreating the section on a different page and test again.
Thanks

wnhorne246ParticipantHave you tried this on a different device yourself before having me do this on another page? Seems a bit extreme that I have now tested this on 6 different devices with the same results.

wnhorne246ParticipantSo you’re saying with your iPad in landscape mode, you’re able to start the video without issue?

wnhorne246ParticipantEureka! I fixed it on my end by using the CSS that Friech suggested for hiding layers using the mobile-hidden attribute. Now the custom controls are just for desktop and laptop, which is fine. Mobile just gets the standard YouTube start button for mobile.
Thanks everyone. Still not sure how Rupok’s iPad worked before this was fixed. Hold on to that iPad my friend! It’s special!
