Hello~
I am having trouble accessing the skin builder.

I found that I did not have the visual composer downloaded – do I need that to be activated to have access to the skin builder for the grid?

So the thing is, the grid is working perfectly, except I cannot find access to the skin builder.

I went online and from what I could find, it looks like the Visual Composer needs to be activated… Is that the case? And if so after I activate it, how do I access the skin builder for the grid?

If not, what may be causing the issue of me not being able to access the grid?

(And from X themes itself, should I just activate all plugins to be on the safe side?)

Hi there,

Thanks for writing back. If your X is validated then you will be able to use all options of our integrated plugins. However The Grid doesn’t have skin builder. Maybe you are looking for Essential Grid that’s also included to X.

From the documentation that I found for The Grid, there is a skin builder and there are instruction on how to go about editing the skins. Unfortunately, I do not have access to it.

Below are the sources that confirm that there is skin builder associated with this plug in:

Does this mean I need to update the plugin for The Grid? (seeing as how this is a new feature)

Thank you for the clarifications! Regretfully the skin editor is only available in the latest version. It seems that you are still using the older version which is the one supported by X at the moment (https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/). We are still testing the latest grid version against X theme. Will be releasing a new update soon which will include the support of the latest grid plugin with the skin editor.
