After I updated Cornerstone two days ago, I noticed my WP dashboard started to load very slowly, and CS was not loading on the pages at all. Installed WP Fastest Cache and WP-Optimize. That helped to restore Cornerstone. But “slow issue remained the same”. The site started to load very slow, despite the fact that gtmetrix’s results were and are still good. On the site, going from pages to pages is slow too. Deactivated plugins one by one, cleared caches, but the issue remained the same. When contacted my host (site ground), they concurred this issue by examining the site. They increased memory, but no luck either.
They advised to use this tutorial to optimize database. Wanted to get your thoughts if possible, unless you have better solution.

Hi there,
I have checked your site and backend as well and it seems fine to me. I think using more plugin will make it more slower on backend so try not to use if it’s not really necessary. You should not use multiple plugins for the same purpose like WP Optimize and Fastest Cache together.

I installed WP Optimize, because Cornerstone wasn’t loading. I will try to remove it later and let you know. But as I said, these issues started right after I updated CS.
This is actually second time I have issues last couple of months since I built my site with X. First time, after theme update, my site became very slow. Didn’t use any optimization plugins at all. Host couldn’t figure out either. Had to wipe out everything snd reinstall it again.

Yes, its a bit slow when I checked. Please disable all third party plugins while we investigate and also remove all customizations and connections to third party sites such as Facebook.

You have access to my wp-admin area. You may disable third party plugins and see what happens. Because it is very difficult for me to coordinate my actions with yours at the same time. Just don’t delete Yoast Seo, since it’s optimized for most pages.
You may remove links to social networks from customizer. I can re-upload them later.
But trust me, I’ve already done this (except social links). Deactivated one by one, deleted some and re-installed again.
Last thing, tech support at Siteground advised me to optimize database, which I haven’t done yet.

Sorry but we don’t recommend downgrading the plugin.
I have the same version across my test sites but can’t replicate this issue.
Can you try deactivating social share plugin as this is likely causing the issue.

I did try to deactivate social share plugin also, but same issue remained.
