I’ve been using a landing page company to serve up a landing page over my wordpress site while I build it. They serve up a page that can be controlled through their plugin and API. I recently, had some issues with them relating to my credit card, which led to them locking my account. When that happened I lost control of the plugin which would enable me to turn that page on and off. Because I couldn’t turn the page off, my site was being re-directed to a page put up by the landing page company instead, saying that there was an issue with the account.

While I work on resolving this issue with the landing page company, I deactivated the plugin, removed some related widget code that I had put into a side bar in the widget area, and changed the name of the folder for that plugin so there was no code getting picked up. My hosting company indicated that there was also a second A record created relating to the landing page company to connect the page they host. My hosting company recommended deleting that A record to get my url pointing back over to my underlying site.

These steps helped. However, my site is no longer formatting correctly, and I can’t seem to resolve this. Please advise.

    Hi there,

Thanks for updating. It seems you are using an older version of Child Theme that needs a small update that was addressed on http://theme.co/changelog/#theme-4-3-3

Kindly follow this to solve the issue – https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/child-theme-updates/

You just need to update the directory structure from Child Theme’s CSS.

    Cheers!

    Hello There,

Thanks for the updates! To save you from any hustle and trouble, you can still use your legacy child theme. All you have to do is to follow the quick fix as instructed on this topic: https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/child-theme-updates/

I’ve looked around in your previous thread and found an old access to your dashboard. I just went ahead and edited your liegacy child theme. You do not need to use the new child theme. You old child theme is as good as the new one.

If there’s anything else, we can help you with, please let us know.

    Hi Jonathan,

You need to move your customizations first before activating your new child theme.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

Yes, you can always do that 🙂 , but if you activate your new child theme, you may want to list your menu and widgets before doing that. WordPress may reset menu and widgets when switching theme.

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

Just a note of widgets and menu just in case it’s reset. So you can manually put them back from your reference.

    Thanks!
