Archive / Site crashes after using Editor, cannot access site or log in to edit!

    Hi, I was just editing the functions php file for our site in the Editor in X, trying to achieve something I was reading about here in the forums; suddenly when I clicked on Update, I was greeted with a white screen saying only:

    “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘, expecting end of file in /srv/users/splatmediala/apps/splatmedia/public/wp-content/themes/x-child/functions.php on line 28”

    Now the site is down; if you try to access it through a browser (or login to the /wp-admin), this message is is all you see. I have no idea what happened and cannot access the site to even try and fix it; any help would be great appreciated!

    Hi there,

    Please connect to FTP and remove or fix the code under wp-content/themes/x-child/functions.php .
