On our website since the update we have lost the social media icons on the front page.
Also if we go in to the editing with cornerstone area, a lot of the buttons have gone blank and it is making it hard to add elements to the site.

Let´s try to following:

Would mind adding this in your wp-config.php located at the root directory of your site.

define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

You can add it before the line

/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

Please try to install and run Transient Cleaner (https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/).

1. Install Transient Cleaner
2. Navigate Dashboard -> Tools -> Transients
3. Set Clear Expired Transients -> Enable
3. Set Clear Expired Transients -> Clean Now
5. Set Remove All Transients -> Enable
6. Set Remove All Transients -> Optimize Afterwards
7. Set Remove All Transients -> Clean Now
8. Save Changes
9. Recheck your Cornerstone for functionality

Hi There,

Please try deleting X and Cornerstone and updating it again manually.

During the process make sure you have all your cache and security plugins deactivated.

Please do the following:

1. Revoke your API key from X Addons section (check the bottom of the page) and also remove it from your license page on Themeco.

2. Temporary disable any caching plugins and purge all your server cache.

3. Delete both X theme (/wp-content/themes/x) and Cornerstone plugin (/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone) by connecting to your FTP (your settings will be saved in the database)

4. Download the latest copy of X and upload it to your themes folder via FTP OR you can upload the x.zip via Appearance -> Themes section.

5. Latest version of Cornerstone will be installed automatically when you head over X Addons section. Now you try validating your X theme again and then try to install any other extension and it should function properly.

We did all that and still didn’t help.
It seems to be a cornerstone problem, we cant edit or get to elements or add new info which makes it a bit of a problem.
We need this sorted pretty soon as we have A PR release in a newspaper coming out tonight and expect people to be coming in to the website.
