SilverHoundDogWalkingParticipantHi There,
i’m starting with a blog on my website and so far i only have posts content that came with the theme. I tried setting up a sidebar, but for whatever reasons it’s not appearing.
Here is my blog site: wwww.silverhounddogwalking/silver-hound-blogI can also provide login info if needed.
Thank you!June 18, 2016 at 11:02 am #1048534

Nabeel AModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Please navigate to Appearance > Customize > Layout and Design > Content Layout and select Content Left, Sidebar Right.
For the pages where you don’t want to show the sidebar, choose Layout – Fullwidth page template.
Cheers!

SilverHoundDogWalkingParticipantHi!
Thanks for responding so promptly.
Unfortunately, whenever i choose it applies to all the pages on my page.
Also, when i actually select it on my blog page here: Here is my blog site: wwww.silverhounddogwalking/silver-hound-blog it’s not even changing to the Sidebar right layout. So on the blog page it’s not working if selected like you have instructed above. AND i can never select it individually for each page, it’s just changing it on every single page within my website.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. I think the right answer is already provided. If you want sidebar in any page, you need to choose sidebar layout from Appearance > Customize > Layout and Design > Content Layout a
For the pages where you donβt want to show the sidebar, choose Layout β Fullwidth page template.
Hope this makes sense.

SilverHoundDogWalkingParticipantI figured out, what i didn’t quite understand and maybe i’m helping someone else in the future.
When i first set up each page i had it set up for “default Template” under Page Attributes within the basic WordPress Setup. Therefore, whenever i selected Customize – Layout and Design – Content Layout – Content Left, Sidebar Right – it applied it to all pages that had the “default template” page setup.
I had to make sure to select a specific template for each page under “page attributes” so i won’t have a sidebar on my regular website.
Thanks and Cheers πJune 20, 2016 at 12:53 am #1050033
