eimkeithParticipantHello again,
On my site zuffenhaus.jkeithwalters.com, I’m inclined to think that the desktop layout of the site could work all the way down to mobile landscape view, which would make things more visually consistent, assuming everything could be made to be responsive in that way. The current mobile-view stacked main menu and sidebar/body probably isn’t necessary until mobile portrait view (at least on an Iphone 6, from what I can tell.) and honestly, I could live without the sidebars altogether on the mobile portrait view, if I could retain the desktop layout all the way down to mobile landscape view.
Possible?
Also, my logo text isn’t behaving responsively on smaller monitors or tablets – it runs off the page, then on smaller devices it becomes tiny. – your thoughts there?
TIA!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.
For your text logo, it turns out that the font size is way too big. Please adjust the maximum font size so that it will fit in the screen width.
Hope this helps.

eimkeithParticipantYes, reading back over that this morning, I agree: my post was a series of jumbled thoughts. (long day yesterday.)
Let’s start with the broad strokes, if we could?
A) I’d like the Logo Font to be responsive, without losing its size on a large monitor (I’m happy with its appearance on 1680×1050, which is what I’m working on at the home/office)
Is there a way to make it resize as a proportion of screen width as the screen size goes down from there, similar to the way the background image does?
As it stands now, it remains the set size (so runs off of smaller monitors) then jumps to a significantly smaller size. Is this because it becomes a different px size at a predetermined screen width?
B) I’d like to keep the desktop layout (Sidebar Left, Content Right) for tablet display and mobile landscape display. This includes keeping the main menu as it is on the desktop – 3 Links in a single row centered under the Logo.
thanks for wading through this with me!

eimkeithParticipantOk, working on some things right now with a friend (logo converted to .png image to solve responsiveness issue so far), will get back on this if further assistance is needed.
Thanks!

eimkeithParticipantOK, ended up enlisting a friend to help me show the side bar on landscape view for mobile and tablet, no sidebar on those devices in portrait view. Nice effect & functionality now, allows those devices to behave more like the desktop view.
