    Hi,

I had an old theme where I manually added columns using the shortcode, [columns_row width=”half”]
[column][/column][column]. However, I see the X shortcodes are different [column type=”1/2″] Place your content in here. [/column] [column type=”1/2″ last=”true”] Place your content in here. [/column] which is making all my previous posts built with a different theme to collapse.

Also I see that while I’m using the Ethos layout, I’m unable to customise it as I don’t see anything on the HomeScreen which is prohibiting me from customising my page. Could you please help me.

    Thanks,
    Nilu

    Hi There,

    Your screenshots did not upload.

Can you confirm you have the old plugin X-Shortcodes deactivated and have Cornerstone activated?

    Thanks

    Joao

    Hi Joao,

The screenshots are attached below. The plugin Shortcodes Indep is activated but I’m not sure about the old X plugin.

    Thanks,
    Nilu

I Can see you have a lot of active plugins.

If you already have Cornerstone activated.

You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

Let us know how it goes,

    Thanks

    Joao

    Hi Joao,

So I tried your method and it doesn’t help me.

Is there a way that X can accept the old existing shortcodes while I start using Cornerstone in the future? That would help save me from manually editing close to 500 blogposts.

    Thanks,
    Nilu

    Hello There,

    Hey Nilu,

The visible shortcode is not a part of X nor Cornerstone. What plugin are you using to display the shortcode? Please contact the plugin author for that issue as we do not have support for third party plugins.

Regarding the Grid, please open a separate thread for it with your login credentials in a private reply.

    Thanks.

    Hi Christian,

I know its not a part of Cornerstone that’s why I wanted to ask you if there is a way to change it to X or Cornerstone plugin. I just migrated my website from themesindep to X.

    Thanks,
    Nilu

    Hi Nilu,

    Now we understand your issue.

And unfortunately you will need to it do it manually.

You could check equivalent X Shortcodes and use instead.

Please have a look at this link and you will be able to find all X Shortcodes.

    http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/accordion/

Let us know if you have questions during the process.

    Hope it helps,

    Joao
