Jan HooglandParticipantHi,
I’m working on a test-site on localhost. On my home-page I have a ‘recent posts’ section with portfolio-items. The featured images look great. But on my portfolio-page the thumbnails aren’t the same as on my homepage. The sizes of the featured images are differant. I already enabled the ‘cropped featured images’. I will attach a screenshot from my home-page as well my portfolio-page.

ChristianModeratorHey there,
In Appearance > Customize > Portfolio, turn on Cropped Featured Images option.
Thanks.

Jan HooglandParticipantHi,
I already have turned on that option, but the images still look like as shown on the screenshot. Can you tell my what to do? I have a child-theme and I can add custom funtions if that’s nescesarry.
Thanks!

JoaoModeratorHi There,
The optimal solution would be to re-size your images in photoshop or similar software and re-upload them.
You will be able to cut your images centered as well.
Let us know your thoughts.

Jan HooglandParticipantHi,
That’s a possibility. But what I don’t understand is that at the recent-posts section, the images are perfect! Why isn’t the same possible on the portfolio page?

LelyModeratorHello There,
They have different structure. For recent post, the images is used as background for a container with the same height. For portfolio page, it is displayed as image element. It will depend on the image proportion you have uploaded.
Hope this helps.
