Hoang DParticipantI know this has come up before, but I’m still lost.
I’ve read almost every link I can find in the forum and I’m not finding the answer.I have a POST page that is listed in my footer and on the page I have the widget that shows our 2 categories. When you select the category it jumps to that page, perfect. BUT…
How do I edit those page’s designs (e.g. cornerstone: image header, sidebar) since they’re not actual pages? They don’t show up in my PAGES list.
All I want to do is design those 2 pages and list them in my footer.Dumb this down for me, please.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! So you are trying to edit the Posts/Blog page? As it uses special template, you can’t directly edit posts page. You will find all available options to change the page layout from Customize > Blog.
If you still have any question, kindly provide your URL and point us the page so that we can understand better and assist you on this.
Cheers!

Hoang DParticipantThank you for getting back to me so quickly.
I’m trying to edit the category pages that link to the Post/Blog page.
I want to make those pages resemble the Post/Blog page:Essentially I want to make these pages, (which do not show up in my /wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page):

RadModeratorHi there,
Archive pages like category, tags, and other taxonomy pages are not editable. They are simply a listing page. Maybe it’s possible with CSS, would you mind providing a mockup design of what you’re trying to achieve?
Thanks!

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. As it’s not possible to amend the archive pages, you can create normal page and use recent Posts there where you can set category to filter posts from specific category. Recent Posts will show 4 posts at a time so you can use multiple Recent Posts element and use offset. For example for the second element, you can use “4” as offset so the first 4 posts will be ignored as it’s already on first element. And for third Recent Posts element, you can use “8” as offset and so on.
Hope this makes sense.

RadModeratorHi there,
There is no coding, and you can’t edit category pages, unless you’ll do custom development. What was suggested is the use of recent posts shortcode/element.
Example, you’ll create a page at Admin > Pages > Add New. Then use that as your category, but you can’t really use it as a category, just assume it as your category home page.
Then edit your page in cornerstone and add recent posts element and filter it by category. The other form of recent posts implementation is shortcode http://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/shortcodes/recent-posts/
But that’s too much, you can use Essential Grid instead, then filter it by category.
Thanks!
