cgenselParticipantHello,
I’ve looked through the forum threads related to SEO optimization and have seen some mixed messages. Can you please clarify- do you recommend using Yoast (and/or Jetpak) or a similar 3rd party plugin for SEO, or is X sufficiently “SEO-ready” without the use of a 3rd party plugin?
Thanks for your help!

JoaoModeratorHi Katie,
First of all I recommend you watching a few videos about SEO on youtube, I personally, have studied a lot and I always few there is more room for improvement.
That said, here is my “personal” tips :
1- Original Content not copied from anywhere containing your keywords, so keyword research would be the first step to make sure you are creating the content you want to create.
2- on Custom Headline Element in X you have the possibility to make an H1 looks like H5 and H4 like H1 for example…So be sure to use H1 for your most importwnt content, even if you don´t want it to look big, than just make it look like an H3 or H4..or whatever you prefer, in the other hand if you want to have a very big text, that is not part of your keywords use an H6 and make it look like an H1 so google will know based on the real tags what the importance of the words.
That said X is SEO ready, but the plugins like Yoast can help, I personally prefer All in One Seo, You should do a quick research on google and see the opinion of others, I just find it simpler.
Hope that helps,
Joao

cgenselParticipantHi,
I have a couple more questions related to this. If using All in One SEO, are there any settings within X that I need to change first? In some of the older SEO/plugin related posts, there were some suggestions to disable some native settings. Or can I just load and go with that plugin?
Also, do I still need to install Google Analytics separately or is that in any way integrated with All in One?
Thanks as always for the great support,
Katie

JoaoModeratorHi Katie,
You should have just one Seo plugin, but I don´t think there are any specific theme settings you should turn off that comes to my mind.
I recommend you watching a video tutorial like :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2Erx38jKc0
You do need to setup analytics separably, that is “totally different” business although is not 😀
So I would recommend you not using X Google Analytics, but installing a wonderful plugin called Analitify
It will give you some awesome insights straight on your wp admin dashboard.
Let us know if you have further questions,
Joao
