I have been trying to put a self-hosted video into a section background-image. The video is a 12mb .mp4. I have simply selected it via the Cornerstone Section Background-image selection box. Nothing happens. http://eb1.a03.myftpupload.com/test-page-1/

The delivered html from a browser shows this:

    <div id=”x-section-1″ class=”x-section bg-image” style=”margin: 100px 0px 50px;padding: 45px 0px; background-image: url(http://eb1.a03.myftpupload.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/1600×500.mp4); background-color: transparent;” data-x-element=”section” data-x-params=”{"type":"image","parallax":false}”><div class=”x-container max width” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”><div class=”x-column x-sm x-1-1″ style=”padding: 0px;”><div class=”x-text”><h1 style=”text-align: center;”>a creative media production company</h1>
    </div></div></div></div>

If self-hosting is not the sensible method, please suggest any goods methods for putting video inside my visual header sections. The client is a video producer, and thus it would be locical to use more than one of these.

    Thanks

    Hi There,

That should work, but I strongly recommend you asking your video producer client to provide you a video with smaller size in order to make the page lighter.

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

    – Link to your site
    – WordPress Admin username / password
    – Specific page where you are trying to apply the video.
Don’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

    Thanks

    Joao

    Hi there,

You should set them as background video and not background image. I went ahead and set it up on your provided page.

But since your video is big, it may take some time to completely load the video. If you like, you can host your video file to any video streaming service then use its URL as your background video URL.

    Thanks!
