Hi there, I have a search bar in the footer. http://upsiid.com/ When I come to do a search, lets say “finance” the results show code, instead of text, how do I make the results NOT show code?

    Hey There,

Do you have X-Shortcode plugin installed and activated? Please disable and remove it.

If not, please provide us with your admin credentials in a private reply.

    Thanks

    Hello There,

Search Results will display excerpts. WordPress generates an excerpt automatically by selecting the first 55 words of the post. If in case you are using Cornerstone or any other page builder, the auto excerpt fails because it will detect that the content is using shortcodes. This is what happen in your posts. It is just showing the shortcodes. There are no auto excerpt being generated since you have created your post with Cornerstone or any other page builder with shortcodes. To display the excerpt, you have to use the manual excerpts. To add an excerpt to a post, simply write one in the Excerpt field under the post edit box. Please see the screenshot below: http://prntscr.com/9j98do

Excerpts are optional hand-crafted summaries of your content that can be used in your theme. Learn more about manual excerpts here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Excerpt

This is not really a great solution, it is for a blog, but these are my actual website pages. Are you sure this is no fix, it seams to be showing code form just one plugin, the animate it! plugin, is there no code I can add to “not display” results from this plugin?

    Hey there,

Could try testing for a plugin conflict? You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

    Thanks.
