janequadeParticipantBut I’m not sure I “buy it”.
My home page of cbgigmd.com has a slider under the navbar. Every few days it goes gray. No slider. I clear all the caches (pages, sites), delete backups, etc. Sometimes my clean up fixes it sometimes it does not. I have gone around and around withe the hosting company. They told me it is a “scripting issue” and to contact the WP theme author – you.
Can you please check into this for me. I will send my logon credentials for everything in the following message marked as private.
Attached is a copy of the home page with the slider MIA.
Thanks so much.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! It seems you are using a caching plugin that’s minifying the scripts too much and eventually they are broken. Note that X already serve the minified version of scripts and stylesheets. So minifying them again might cause the issue. Kindly disable minification and check again.
Cheers!

janequadeParticipantHi. Thanks so much for your help. I tried changing the settings on the plugin (W3 Total Cache) but it made the issue worse so I just deleted the plugin. Problem with the slider has been resolved.
Do you have any suggestions on cache clearing plugins compatible with X-Theme?

LelyModeratorHello Jane,
Default settings for W3 Total Cache should work fine with X theme. See this:https://community.theme.co/kb/performance/. Try to enable so we can check again.
