    Hi,

    I installed X and then Installed a Child so that I don’t lose my customizations while each upgrade.
    Now I created lots of pages and sections and … and don’t want to lose anything.

    What should I do to upgrade the theme? What is the step by step?

    Hey There,

    If you have a child theme running, it is completely safe to update your X theme using the normal update process in WordPress.

    We still advise you to take a backup of your website.

    So you mean if I upgrade the parent X theme (not the child) that would be enough?
