olmecaParticipantI didn’t find a solution, sorry for sounding like it. I fixed the setting as Lely suggested, but the problem still remains.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I am another staff checking in! Please try to select the categories as well as the tags. And then make sure that you have limit the maximum post per slider to 20 items.
Hoop this would help.
November 2, 2016 at 10:56 pm #1241869
olmecaParticipantOK, I tried that. The result is the same with selecting only the category. Still bugged in all kinds of sorting criteria, although different amount of posts show (10/13 descending date, 2/13 ascending date, different numbers for other criteria).
I think the error is somewhere in the coding level, it is not a misuse of the UI.
PS: You can also take a look using the login information. Please test on here http://www.bombersbareve.com/slidetest/ with the exact slider on the page, as I use the other in my homepage (that one too is bugged duplicate).
Also eliminated plugin conflict.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I have tested every possible setting combination yet it fails. I will be forwarding this issue to the creators of the Slider Revolution. Please bear with us.
Thank you for your understanding.

olmecaParticipantNo problem. I am using a temporary solution in the homepage. I’m fine if it takes one week, as long as we solve the problem.
On another note, different elements of the slider on the homepage (also the test slider) seems to be responding at different levels, so text, arrows and bullets lose their proper alignment. Looks like arrows are static and the other elements are moving.
Is there any way to overcome this issue?

ChristianModeratorCould you provide more details regarding the issue? It would also be best if your open this in a separate thread.
Thanks.

olmecaParticipantOK, I’m waiting for this initial problem to be solved. I will start another thread for this issue.

RadModeratorThanks, it’s more recommended for better tracking of issues 🙂

olmecaParticipantHey,
It’s been a week now. How much longer do you think I will need to wait?
November 10, 2016 at 4:12 am #1251457
RadModeratorHi there,
I did some tests and created some slider, then on different test, I got this
No slides found, please add at least one Slide Template to the choosen language.
Something is wrong with the current configuration, and the change I add it’s not taking effect. Do your host has some internal cache? Please provide your FTP login credentials in private reply. Then backup your site as I may going to re-install the rev. slider.
I imported your slider on my installation and it works but the layout is broken.
Thanks!

RadModeratorHi there,
Thanks, still the same after re-installation. But one thing I noticed, mod_security is blocking this request,
http://www.bombersbareve.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=revslider_ajax_action
It says
Not Acceptable!
An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.
Please contact your hosting provider and see if this is something that can be whitelisted, or just disable mod_security so we could test it clean. Maybe it’s the reason why the changes that I added aren’t taking effect.
Thanks!

olmecaParticipantHi,
There is no option to disable Mod Security in my CPanel. My host says they cannot disable it but I could edit htaccess. I tried this solution to fix the above error you mentioned:
Backup your .htaccess file if you have one in the ‘wp-admin’ directory. Then make a ‘.htaccess’ file with the following content and upload it to ‘wp-admin’ directory.
<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</IfModule>Can you check whether if this solved your problem? It looks like the problem still persists on the test slider.
November 11, 2016 at 6:24 am #1253242
olmecaParticipantI discovered something else.
In “Specific Post” slider mode the problem replicates the exact same way if I select the same articles as whatever filter I am using in “Post Based” slider mode. But if I remove 4 most recent articles all sortings work properly exactly as intended. So it is about these posts.
Thus I went and checked what these posts share in common.
1) The problem posts are all posted in November 1. The others are posted before that time. But I tried changing publish date of one of the posts, it didn’t solve the problem.
2) Both the problem and non-problem posts are sometimes edited in cornerstone, sometimes in classic text editor, and in both of them there are some video posts and some standard posts.
3) The other options seem to be shared as well.
So the only thing that is different is the posting date (and post ID ofc).
Could you help me narrow down why these posts are failing the post based slider?

RadModeratorHi there,
Mod security still blocks the request, you can check it by accessing the URL. http://www.bombersbareve.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=revslider_ajax_action
And still the same, been testing with the same result with no other error other than that mod_rewrite. Would you mind creating a clone of your site (staging)? I’ll test out a different version of rev. slider there, and I don’t want to do it on your live site.
Thanks!
