    Hi there,
I goofed yesterday. I was updating plugins and accidentally updated Revolution Slider, which caused an error. (I know I shouldn’t have updated, as I am familiar with the package deal).

I deleted the folder in my ftp, and tried to use wordpress to reinstall the plugin. It couldn’t copy a file (error was: /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/revslider/public/assets/assets/svg/busy-icons-svg/tablet-article.svg”) and said plugin install failed. I tried to install the plugin through ftp, but after all the files were copied over, it still didn’t show in my plugins directory in wordpress. Help?!

    Running WordPress theme 4.5.3
X Version 4.6.1 (running child theme)
    Cornerstone version 1.3

    Hi there,

Been trying to change folder and file permission and the error is still the same. This is more like file/folder ownership issue. You should contact your hosting provider as they are just the one who can change it since your account is on limited to current owner.

    Thanks!

Ok. They are asking what needs to be changed on the file/folder ownership. Is it the whole folder or just the file that errors out: “/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/revslider/public/assets/assets/svg/busy-icons-svg/tablet-article.svg”

I see the slider works on the home page but I can’t see the plugin in the backend. Is that part of the permissions problem?

    Hi There,

You could ask them to let you control the whole folder.

I could not see any problem with your setup. Would you mind testing or asking your host to let your controll of everyhing

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks.
