    Hi There,

I’ve been trying for days now to get the text on my simple slider to become responsive and rescale, but instead it is sticking to a fixed size and position. I have scoured themepunch’s site, have done their tutorials and have watched additional videos on the revolution slider, but alas nothing is working.

When I try resizing the browser window, the fonts retain their size and position, while the video background scales perfectly.

I have the latest version of Revolution Slider installed, along with the latest version of X

You can view the site at celebratingdavidbowie.com

    Thanks!

    Chris

Please share the solution Chris. I’m also experiencing this. I did open another thread.

    Hello There,

Thanks for writing in! I have seen your site in a mobile screen. The headings text are quite big enough. You may need to apply Responsive text and manage it in Settings > Responsive Text. To know more about responsive text, please check it from our knowledge base here: https://community.theme.co/kb/shortcode-walkthrough-responsive-text/, http://demo.theme.co/integrity-1/shortcodes/responsive-text/

    Hope this helps.

    Hi There,

Thanks for your response. The page is actually using only a single Revolution Slider within cornerstone, and according to themepunch’s documentation and videos, the text should be responsive once selecting it within the preferences of the slider’s layer menu.

Do I still need to apply responisve text within the customizer (as suggested above) to force Revolution Slider to have responsive text?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

It depends on what kind of responsive behavior you wish to implement. Yes, the slider has its own responsiveness, it’s through scaling text which is relative to its parent slide or grid. Then there is another responsive where it only breaks into lines.

I checked your slider and yes, confirmed that it’s not responding well. But I do create a sample slider ResponsiveTest without any special setting, I just added the text and it responds well. Please try redoing your slider, all the settings that I tried on that slider is not taking effect.

    Thanks!

    Hi There,

Thanks for your reply. I too tried a separate simple slider a couple days ago and the text was somewhat more responsive, then I redid the original slider, and that is the one showing now (hence it being name 02). I reached out to you only after exhausting all my own tests and research.

Do you have any other ideas?

    Cheers,

    Chris

I’d recommend checking the difference between the slider that works and the one that doesn’t work. Also, it would be best to familiarize with how to work with Responsive Design in Slider Revolution https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyuxFo-WBiU

    Thanks.

    Hi Christian,

Thanks for your suggestion. I did indeed check the difference between the silder that works, and the one that doesn’t work. The more complicated slider, with the video background, is having issues. The simpler slider with only text is resizing and realigning fine. These are the differences. Same fonts, same placement, same formatting. The only difference is the video background, which should not cause any problems according to themepunch’s tutorials and documentation.

Thank you for the link. I have already reviewed their tutorials and documentation many times as I had stated above.

    Any further ideas?

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Hi There,

As per your recommendation, I created yet another test slider with simply text and a solid background (the same as your test slider above). It was responsive until I added a breakpoint for mobile. After that, the original formatting for all other sized displays failed and only the mobile was working.

I have included screencaps, and I have saved the slider (labeled videoloop03breakpoint) for you to examine.

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Hi there,

Your slider is working on mobile, see the attachment.
Please clear cache and check again.

    Thanks.
