stephodParticipantHi guys,
I’ve been using revolution slider really happily for the last six months. But in the past week, a really annoying issue has come up, and I’m not sure how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
When I add a new slide to a slider that already has two slides, the appearance of the image for the new slide is completely off. It’s either too small for the space or far too zoomed in. How do I fix this? I’ve tried creating a new slider from scratch, but the same issue comes up. You can see this on the front page slider at the moment.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
I can see only third image has issue (http://www.ourfoodfuture.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/agriculture-asia-bali-654.jpg) which has large dimension, please use images with maximum width of 1400px.
Thanks.

stephodParticipantHi,
Thanks for having a look. Yes, only the third image is the issue at the moment, as I’ve deleted the rest of the slides while trying to fix the slider because they looked terrible. If I try to add any more slides the same issue will occur as is happening with slide 3. Yes – I can resize the image so that it is 1400px. But my point is this was not required before now. Revolution slider would (as it has in the first two slides) resize images to fit the space. It no longer does that. If they are too large, then they just show really zoomed in. If they are too small they sit to the left with a wide space at the side. What’s more – when placed somewhere in the site (i.e. in this case the front page) it doesn’t match the preview of the appearance that you see within the revolution slider.
Do I need to delete and reinstall the slider to fix this issue?

stephodParticipantHi Again,
I’ve resized the images to 1400px – and this has left a space at the side of the image on the slide. This is definitely an issue with how the slider is handling the background image, and it’s handling it differently on slide 3 (and up) vs slides 1 and 2. I really would appreciate advice on how to fix this properly. Thanks,

ZeshanMemberHi Stephanie,
Please try adding following CSS under Custom > CSS in the Customizer:
.tp-simpleresponsive img { width: 100% !important; }Thanks!

stephodParticipantHi X,
I’m sorry to say I’m still having issues with the revolution slider on my front page for http://www.ourfoodfuture.com. I hope you can help!1. When logged out (so as a normal visitor to the site) only three of the seven slides actually appear when you scroll through the header slider.
2. This second issue occurs whether you are logged in or not – when you hover your mouse over the slider, it connects to the link connected to the previous slide. So for example – slide 2 has a link attached to the ‘view post’ box that is a layer in the slide. When I got to slide three- if I hover over any part of the image, it shows that it will link to the post connected to slide 2 if I click. This shouldn’t happen – you should only conenct to a link if you hover over the ‘view post’ box, and that should take you to the post listed on the slide.
Please let me know if you need any more information. I’d appreciate any help fixing this issue. Versions and login details are as in the previous posts in this thread.
Thanks,

ZeshanMemberHi Stephanie,
Upon checking, I’m seeing that you’re using a caching plugin. I’d recommend that you clear it, and disable it during development. This can cause Customizer changes to not take place on the front end. It will eventually show up when the cache regenerates, but it’s not ideal if you’re looking to see your changes immediately. Caching plugins are best to turn on only when you’ve finished building the site.
Thanks!

almorr47ParticipantI seem to be having the same issue as the OP, I have tried adding the custom CSS but the image still appears to be very zoomed in. I have tried all different size images and none seem to work and look pixelated etc. I am developing the site locally at the moment.
