Hi, I am having a problem with the visibility of my alternative slider for mobile on tablets. I have two versions of my slider, one of which (the main one) is loaded on the page settings for full size screens. I have a second one which is set up to work better on mobiles which is set as a section on cornerstone with the section hidden on larger screens.

Now here’s the thing. If i view the page either in cornerstone using the tablet or mobile view I can see it fine. It appears to be the main full size slider loading on the tablet. Same thing in Screenfly – it looks fine on the tablet view option.

However on my actual 8″ Samsung Galaxy Tab it is not showing in either landscape or portrait orientation. Can you have a look and see if you can help me with this? It could just be my device settings but I am sure i could see it a few days ago, so it could be something I have changed.

    Here’s the site: http://oeno-news.co.uk

I’ll put a private post after this one with my admin access details. Thanks Guys.

I should add that what I would prefer is to have the mobile version loading on the tablet, rather than the desktop version. (the mobile version has a static image for the event info rather than the animated version for desktop so it doesn’t throw up a heap of responsiveness issues with all the little boxes.

I made some changes since I wrote the posts above. I now only have one slider and it’s apparently (according to screenfly) responsive on all the devices but – it still doesn’t show up on my tablet itself. That appears to be the only real problem to deal with now. and it might be my device.

    Hi there,

It’s working okay on my devices. What browser you’re testing this with? Unless I’m looking on different page or slider. Please provide screenshots of what you’re getting.

    Thanks!

I’m in Chrome on my samsung galaxy tab. I think it must be my device but I can’t for the life of me figure out why. Here’s a screenshot.

I see your slider is not loading on tablet. Here are the warnings thrown in the console.

The deviceorientation event is deprecated on insecure origins, and support will be removed in the future. You should consider switching your application to a secure origin, such as HTTPS. See https://goo.gl/rStTGz for more details.

Please clear all caches and deactivate all third party plugins and check again. If that doesn’t help, please try the solutions at https://www.themepunch.com/faq/troubleshooting-tips-for-5-0/

Christian, thanks, I don’t know if you did it or i did but it is now working perfectly. No idea what they mean with the insecure origins. But no problem, it’s showing up and looking fine.

Thanks to you and Rad for your help.

I see. Must have been just the cache.

    Thanks.
