    Hi,

I am using Revolution Slider that was bundled with the X theme to create the sliders on my client’s website (www.ascent.tech)
    Revolution SLider currently installed: 5.2.4.1

The top slider currently has 4 slides, and my problem is currently with the slide (nr 3) that says “WHAT WILL IT COST to Outsource my Database Administration? (image of man in blue suit with hand and arrow going down from COSTS)

This is the only slide where I have used a different image on a layer for the mobile version of the slide, as the background image cuts off incorrectly when it shows on mobile.
The mobile image sits on a layer on top of the background image, so technically the background should not be visible when in mobile view.
However my problem is that at the beginning and end of the slide the image layer disappears and for a split second the background image flashes before going to the next slide.
I have read extensively on support and forums of Themeco and Themepunch, according to Themepunch the solution is easy, I should just make sure that the layer is “snapped to end” – this has however been done, but is not working
    https://www.themepunch.com/faq/prevent-layers-from-disappearing/

I have also played with the animation settings of the layer (setting it on no-animation/, making the start speed and end speed very short (1) or very long (500 / 1000).
Tried making the timeline for that specific layer longer than the duration of the slide (slide is set as 6500 duration, so I tried making the duration longer than that (7000).
What am I missing? It does not seem as if my changes have had any effect on the layer staying to the end of the slide, as it still disappears a split second before the end of the slide, showing the background.

Please see 2 screenshots attached, one of what it should look like, ane when the background image shows, and a screenshot of my animation settings and timeline settings in Rev SLider for that layer

    Help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Joao,

I don’t think you read my post fully. If you did you would have known that I explained that the correct image is displaying, but just before the end of the slide the background flashes (as per screenshot nr2). It is disappearing a second before the end only.

Please can you have a look at my post again? I would really appreciate your help on this.

    Hi There,

Thank you for the credentials. I have downloaded your revslider to test further on my site. Please try to adjust the End Speed for Mobile Image Hand layer and the image background doesn’t show anymore. See attached image and this video screencast for guidance:http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cD1UVZit1I

    Hope this helps.

    Hi There,

    Thanks for your help.
I have implemented your suggestion, it can be viewed here: https://www.ascent.tech/home-2/

On my side it did not have the desired effect though, it is actually showing the background image longer than before? Could it be that some of the other settings are different on your side? Specifically the animation settings of that specific layer?

    Hi There,

Upon Checking your both sliders a few times I could not notice any issue.

Please don“t get upset I am not trying to skip your question or something like this, but I have spent a good amount of time looking at both of your sliders and they are really behaving as it should, if you are unsatisfied with the way the layers come in and out you need to play with the values of: Start Time, End Time, Start Speed, End Speed as recommended above.

You also can play with the type of background transitions, at the moment you have them set to fade.

    Hope that helps,

    Joao

    Hi Joao,

Are you checking the mobile version of the slider?
That can be the only explanation why you are not seeing the problem.

The background image showing is only happening on the mobile version. I am hoping Lely can reply to my previous post, as he already sorted out the issue when installed on his side, so I am now trying to see what settings he has that differs from mine so we can replicate the solution.

    Kind regards

    Hi There,

When I downloaded the revslider, I didn’t update any settings except the End Speed.
Then when I check again, the only difference I am seeing is Start time. See attached screenshot on the previous reply. Did you update the value for that?

  • <script> jQuery(function($){ $("#no-reply-1056161 .bbp-template-notice, .bbp-no-topic .bbp-template-notice").removeClass('bbp-template-notice'); }); </script>
