Russell BParticipantBack to the original img alt tag issue in Revolution Slider (installed version 4.6.8), I am running into a similar issue with my sliders. Alt tags have been added to the media elements (on the off chance it may have switched to using these) as well as on the image layer alt tag fields. For example, I do not see alt tags for images in the slider at http://thewrightbrothersstore.com/product-category/promotional/ . I am using the ken burns effect on the background image and I realize alt tags are not available for backgrounds.
Please advise. Thanks!May 29, 2015 at 11:14 pm #286459
Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Yes, background images doesn’t have alt tags because they are not considered are element. Background images are just a property of an element.
Please check out the documentation of Revolution slider here: http://previous.themepunch.com/revolution_wp/documentation/#!/image_layers
Hope this helps.

Russell BParticipantThanks. As I stated, I realize that alt tags are not available for backgrounds. My issue is with the image layers not displaying alt tags that are entered in my theme. I have several sliders with both backgrounds and image layers. None of which are properly displaying the alt tags. Here is an example: http://thewrightbrothersstore.com/product-category/promotional/ in which the image alt tags are blank.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for providing the access to your site. We have check your revolution slider image layers and indeed you have added an alt text to the image layers. This must be a bug in the latest release of Revolution slider. On their demo site, the alt text of the image layer is also empty.
We will be contacting Themepunch so that they can address this issue.
Thanks for understanding.

Russell BParticipantThanks for investigating. You folks have tremendous support!
Should I look here periodically to see if there’s an upgrade to address this situation or just wait for the next update?
Thank you!June 9, 2015 at 2:10 am #296576
ChristopherModeratorHi there,
You should wait for revolution slider update, this should be fixed on their side, you can check changelog/ for full version history in X.
Thanks.

fernandocd79ParticipantHi guys,
In my case, an image (logo) on top of the background image in my rev slider (www.spanishgurus.com) makes the mouse pointer to change as if there was a link (from arrow to pointing finger), but there is no link configure for that image/logo.
How can I remove that behavior?
Thanks
Fernando

FriechModeratorHi Fernando,
Yes the cursor for that image is set to pointer, to address the issue you can add this under Custom > CSS in the Customizer.
#slide-3-layer-8 img { cursor: default; }Just a heads up, I’m seeing two of your images sources is coming from a localhost.
http://localhost:8080/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Classroom-Learning-Icon.png
http://localhost:8080/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/bg-pattern-3.pngYou might want to reset this, wherever this images is set.
Hope it helps, Cheers!
