Hi,

I keep trying to install Revolution Slider onto my website off of the X-theme homepage.
Everytime I click install it says it has installed and shows a button ‘Go Activate’.
I click through to the plugin page and it doesn’t appear.
So I go back to the X-theme homepage and it’s changed back to ‘Install’.

If anyone can help me I’d greatly appreciate it!

– WordPress Admin username / password
– cPanel credentials

Make sure to fix this first selecting the right database and update us if you still face the issue.

Hi Alice,

I could not access your files using the panel control provided,

Do you have your FTP Credentials?

If you can access yourself you need to go to WP-content/Plugins/ and remove the filde RevSlider and try to install again.

To Install manually you can download the plugin from the link below and place it on the same folder mentioned above.

Hi ThemeCo

A new problem has occurred. I have managed to get Revolution Slider installed onto my WordPress following the instructions above. It works but needs updating however the update won’t work. Message appears:

An error occurred while updating Slider Revolution: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

Is this due to how I’ve installed it?

What should I do? Ignore the update?

Hi,

You can try updating manually using ftp.

MANUAL PLUGIN UPDATE VIA FTP

1. From Downloads in your ThemeForest account, click Download next to X and choose: All Files & Documentation download from ThemeForest. Unzip, and you will find an extensions folder containing zips for all our Extensions.
2. Unzip revslider.zip on your computer.
3. Rename the revslider folder to revslider-updating.
4. Connect to your server via FTP and navigate to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
5. Drag and drop the revslider-updating folder into your plugins directory.
6. Upon completion, rename the previous cornerstone folder to revslider-previous.
7. Rename revslider-updating to revslider. Your site will now be at the latest version.
8. Delete the revslider-previous folder.

I got this error on your WordPress > Admin:
The plugin revslider/revslider.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

The plugin file is incomplete. I upload it manually. Please check it now and activate.
