KBroylesParticipantHello. I have an idea to revamp my homepage but before I get into it super deep I wanted to make sure it was even plausible. On http://www.kellybroylesphotography.com I essentially want to remove the slider and make it into a two vertical boxes (split screen) one side would have a image with a senior and Say Seniors overplayed on it and the other side a image of family/children photography and say “Families/Children” then when someone clicked the corresponding image it would take them to the area specifically for their type of photography. I was thinking I could design it in the Backend Editor but I wanted to run it past folks with more brain power than me before I go messing things up. 🙂

KBroylesParticipantI tried and it didn’t work out how I wanted. So I am thinking I Need to do a total revamp of the front page. I’m attaching a image of essentially what I want to do so you guys can tell me if it’s even possible with X Theme. One side would be Senior Photography and One side would be Children/Families with my logo central ontop.

RupokMemberHi there,
It would be possible but you will need some custom CSS to achieve this. You can set two column layout and use background image for both columns. The on top circle could be placed in a column and positioned with negative margin.
Let’s try if you feel confident. We can help you to adjust the position if needed.
Cheers!

KBroylesParticipantI’ll give it a go tonight! Can I make a new page to get the design worked out then copy it over later to the home page?

JoaoModeratorHi There,
Yes you can you need to use the Cornerstone Template, simply save your new page when it is ready as a template page and than go to your home page in Cornerstone > Click templates > Insert My Template Page.
Hope that helps

KBroylesParticipantI am somehow missing the cornerstone template. How can I fix that?! I’m very confused.

KBroylesParticipantIs there a way to convert my existing pages to Cornerstone? I LOVE THIS! But when I open an existing page in CS it’s blank. 🙁

RahulModeratorHey There,
Thanks for writing in!
There is no page conversion from VC to Cornerstone. Both of them are independent page builder. You have to create a new page and build the page in Cornerstone to look like your old page (built with VC). All your old pages built with VC will just work fine. You can have both Cornerstone and VC in your installation. You will still be able to install and use VC within X using either our customized version optimized for X or the plain vanilla version – the option to pick being as usual in the X Integration Tab of VC. We will keep it updated and patched (no 6 month period, indefinitely) just keep in mind elements that we have added to Cornerstone will not be able to be added as those elements were made for Cornerstone specifically.
Hope this clarifies it!
Let us know if you need any further information on this.
Thanks!
