There have been a ton of support tickets entered in the last couple of day outlining the current bug related to Rev Slider. It’s clear that the latest plugin update has created an issue that exists after people clear their site cache, browser cache and inactivate plugins. As indicated here, there is a fix in the works (this thread).

My questions is can you please provide an ETA on that fix? I, like many others, need to know if I need to roll back or if the fix will be posted today, I can avoid having to do that. Please provide an estimate on when the update that addresses the Rev Slider bug will be released per the thread above. Thanks.

    Hi Jeff,

Can you please let us know which browser(with version) and device you are using while experiencing the issue?

Also please share your website with us.

    Thanks

    Joao

I was actually hoping that you could just provide an update on when the fix would be released. You all have indicated that it is a known bug (see link above). There are at least 30 threads (probably more) over the last couple of days with the same issue. I just need to know when you are going to release a fix so that I can determine if I need to roll back my site or not. Could you please provide an ETA?

For posterity sake the issue is present on all browsers

    Chrome Version 54.0.2840.71
    Firefox 49.0.2
    Safari 10

I really need an ETA so I can make the right call here. I’d rather not roll back, but if you guys are days from releasing the fix indicated in this thread (https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/revolution-slider-not-working-12/page/2/#post-1228387) I really need to know in the next couple of hours.

An ETA would be great! Is it an X theme update that will be coming soon to fix the Revolution Slider problem? If so, when?
    Thanks

    Hi guys,

The slider issue has been resolved by RevSlider 5.3.0.1 update. Kindly update your Revolution Slider to that version.

    Cheers!

Rupok – I’ll have to disagree with you. This issue actually began occurring WITH the 5.3.0.1 update. That update is a couple of days old and yesterday at 9:24 am Joao stated:

“There is a confirmed bug and we will be pushing a new update shortly.”

Joao’s comment was after the 5.3.0.1 update was released. So what gives? This is not an isolated issue there are a ton of support tickets related to the Rev Slider in the last 48 hours.

Is your contention that Joao gave incorrect information yesterday? Is there no plans to issue of fix for this existing bug that so many users have opened up tickets for? This is a pretty big bug.

It’s disappointing that support isn’t on the same page with this issue – because it’s a huge, show stopping bug. For anyone having the same issue, the only way to fix it currently (until Theme.co releases a fix) is to either roll back your entire site to before you updated to RS 5.3.0.1 or to delete the RS plugin and install RS 5.2.6. As far as how to obtain 5.2.6, you’ll need to figure that out yourself. I can confirm that rolling back to 5.2.6 resolved the issue for me.

    Hey There,
    Thanks for writing in!
This is occurring on a lot of X-Theme sites presently. The only fix we could offer is to roll back to 5.2.6 and all is good again!
I’ve submitted this to our developers team for further review. We’ll have an update to this soon.
    Thanks for your patience!

    Hi There,

We have been working with ThemePunch For the last 36h. We released an update yesterday from Theme Punch that suppose to fix the issue, but it clearly did not, this is not happening in many installations, but it is clearly happening in some installations as you noticed.

We are working on it, if we could provide an ETA it would be already resolved instead, please bare with us the fix should come soon.

The info you provided above will help our team and Theme Punch to find out what is happening.

    Thanks for understating,

    Joao

    Hi There,

Just updating the situation here :

There should be an update within 24hours, ThemePunch have been notified about additional issues which haven’t been fixed yet and we’re waiting on them to fix those and release an update, so we can release the update.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks for understanding,

    Joao

    Hi There,

Revslider 5.3.0.2 is now out on automatic updates.

We’ve done extensive testing on this and it works great for me across all major browsers.

This appears to fix every issue we’ve seen reported so far.

    Hope it helps
