[email protected]ParticipantGreetings!
I’ve built a very small site that relies heavily on Rev Slider. All but one page use a slider to deliver content. This may not be the ideal way to built a site, but it all looks and works exactly as I want it to. (I say that to fend off any questions as to why I chose to use sliders throughout).
My problem is this: The site works well on every browser and every platform (mobile, tab, desktop) except those running IE (or at least IE11… I don’t know anyone using an older version). I’ve read about bugs between Rev Slider and IE on other forums, and I’m sure Microsoft’s sunsetting of IE is not helpful.
Does anyone know of a workaround? The site is http://www.cocuity.com and you can see how it is supposed to look on any browser other than IE. It is as if IE doesn’t even recognize the slider is there.
Each page is very simple… logo masthead with stacked nav. Every page but “contact us” uses the slider for all of its content. Contact us uses a supported plugin.
Many thanks for your help!

RadModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in.
I see some errors in IE and it’s affecting the slider. Let’s fix it one by one. First, please remove this from your customizer’s custom javascript.
<script src="https://use.fontawesome.com/507e2f3afc.js"></script>You can’t add HTML elements there, it’s for javascript code only (I mean exact code as javascript and not embed codes).
Thanks!

[email protected]ParticipantThanks for the quick response. I’ve removed the code per your instructions. I don’t recall how it got there but it’s not been removed.
I don’t have IE running locally so cannot tell if that did the trick.
What’s next?
🙂
Thanks!

Nabeel AModeratorHi again,
I checked it in IE and still it’s not working however I’m seeing a revolution slider error that is preventing the slider to load in IE. Try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Let us know how this goes!

[email protected]ParticipantReally appreciate the help! Happy to not be flying solo. 🙂
I deactivated and deleted several plugins that were no longer relevant. In addition, Rev Slider issued an update in the last 24 hours that included some mention of fixing IE11 issues.
The only plugins I now have installed are:
Cornerstone
Rev Slider
Contact Form 7Obviously the first two are needed to run the site and shouldn’t be the issue. I have to leave up Contact Form 7 for now because this is a live site and I need the contact plugin running.
I don’t have access to IE11 so I’m hoping you can tell me if this works. If not, I’m happy to send along credentials so someone can take a look under the hood.
Again, thanks for all of your help!
🙂

RadModeratorHi there,
I just checked and there is no more Syntax Error, and it works on IE11. I just did re-save it, maybe it’s due to cache or corrupted setting.
Thanks!
