crydbergParticipantHi,
We are having a problem with our webpage: http://indentive.se.
We are using the responsive text tool that can be found in cornerstone’s settings menu. See image: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/e1xxlptqvn1v0mf/AACzR69DBDuS2AMCWzRvgjesa?dl=0.
The responsive text doesn’t seem to load properly when a new page is loaded -> the text is too small.
The responsivity doesn’t seem to kick in until we change the width of the browser – smaller or bigger doesn’t matter, changing the width does the trick. See video: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/e1xxlptqvn1v0mf/AACzR69DBDuS2AMCWzRvgjesa?dl=0How do we make sure it starts working properly directly from the start?

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! Before we can check on the issue mentioned in your post, please do update to the latest version. X 4.6.2 and Cornerstone 1.3.2 are now available! This release contains several bug fixes and we’re quite excited about the new features, so be sure to check out the changelog. After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
Please let us know how it goes.

crydbergParticipantHi,
I have updated both X-theme and Cornerstone now, and cleared all caches, but the problem remains.
Any suggestions?October 7, 2016 at 4:01 am #1206503
Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! I have created a test page to try if the responsive text is working or not. So far after further investigation. I could not replicate the issue. You can check my test url here: http://indentive.se/an-x-test/
Please try to clear your browser cache or use Chrome’s incognito mode and test your site again.
Please let us know how it goes.

crydbergParticipantHi,
Your test url has the same problem – in this case the headline is too small at first and when you change the browser width it becomes “normal”.
We have noticed that the problem appears more frequently in Safari than in e.g Chrome.

Nabeel AModeratorHi again,
Try adding the following jQuery script in your Customizer via Appearance > Customize > Custom > Edit Global Javascript
jQuery(document).ready(function($){ $('.h-custom-headline').css("font-size", "80px"); });Don’t forget to clear your browser’s cache after adding the code. Let us know how this goes!

crydbergParticipantHi,
I added the jQuery Script you mentioned and cleared safari’s cache after adding the code, but no result. Still not working.

crydbergParticipantAs mentioned earlier – the problem only occurs in the Safari browser at the moment.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I have tested your site in Safari and this is what I’ve got:
http://prntscr.com/crze58
http://prntscr.com/crzem9Could you please test again or even use Private browsing mode?
Please let us know how it goes.

crydbergParticipantHi again,
The problem remains, even in private browsing mode. Please watch the movie:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qz8rabmigzliplk/Test_Private_Browser.mov?dl=0We only have a problem with the body copy, no headlines are affected.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
After further investigation, it turns out that you have a custom JS in your customizer. You have added this:
//<!--Responsive text problem: fix --> jQuery(document).ready(function($){ $('.h-custom-headline').css("font-size", "80px"); });This code sets all of the custom headline’s font size as 80 pixels. It doesn’t matter if it have other responsive text assign, the 80 pixels will be the default because this will be fired last. I am not sure if you have added this on purpose. I mean you might have added this so that you will set the 80 pixels a a default font size. I would recommend that you remove this code and see the difference.
Hope this helps. Please let us know how it goes.

crydbergParticipantHi again,
The code you are mentioning was recommended to me (see response #1207110).
Also the code regards headlines, and we don’t have any problems with our headlines only with our body copy (see move).Something else must be the problem.

NicoModeratorHi There,
Would you mind adding a class to the headline you want to adjust with the custom script.
for example:
jQuery(document).ready(function($){ $('.sampleclass .h-custom-headline').css("font-size", "80px"); });Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.
