LobsterassParticipantHi awesome developers!
I’m trying to set up my portfolio with The Grid. I can’t figure out what the best way for me is to make the thumbs keep the ratio of the corresponding original image (1170x660px) in my fullwidth grid? I don’t want them to get forced cropped into a different ratio like they now do. I would still like to keep the nice zoom effect. I don’t want to do this in a way that slows down the site. I’m open for suggestions. Please see attached images.
Please help.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Those are actually arranged dynamically and you should not force the styling that might cause layout issue. You can explore The Grid documentation for more information.
Cheers!

LobsterassParticipantHola Rupok!
Thanx!
Neither of the two documentations of The Grid really answered my question but I figured it out anyway. For other blondes 😉 with the same issue (I saw few in the forum) my tip is:
1. Let’s say your images are 1000x625px and that their thumb versions look cut off in an unwanted way.
2. Figure out your ratio here: http://andrew.hedges.name/experiments/aspect_ratio/. The ratio for 1000x625px is 8:5.
3. Insert 8:5 as your ratio on Grid settings > Grid > items > items ratio.
Now, your thumbs will have the same ratio as your images.
