Drew MParticipantHi Devs,
I didn’t see the question asked in the forum, so I thought I would throw this question out there:
How would you go about resizing (modifying) the lightbox frame size (i.e. if video, make it half the size), and can you modify on a case-by-case basis, instead of site-wide.
Example on iLightbox site
Scroll down to “Video – Advanced Examples” and click on the Hulu example. The video is roughly half the size of the other videos. I know it’s probably something to do with targeting a selector, but what styling options work in this case?

KoryKeymasterHey Drew,
Thanks for writing in! We currently do not offer options to resize videos with the lightbox, although this is certainly something we will look into for a later release of the plugin.
Thanks!

Paula CParticipantHi. On 3/22 I also asked a question about lightbox sizing- but for Pages. Seems like it would be an easy fix. trying to be patient here but considering another lightbox if I can’t make this work. I have not heard a response yet from Support. I’m wondering if you can give me ANY insight on the thread below. Thx.

KoryKeymasterHey Paula,
Thanks for writing in! A question posted on the 22nd would be a Saturday, which would mean that there could possibly be a delayed response time due to the weekend. Additionally, your post was “bumped” multiple times once Monday came around by yourself and another user. Every time you respond to a thread, it “bumps” that thread to the back of the line so to speak since we answer questions from oldest to newest and responding to a thread makes it appear as “new” again. This is stated in our support policy in the sidebar, as we kindly ask that users not do this in order for us to effectively respond to your thread on time. If you must respond to a thread again, or another user responds to your thread, please understand that this is a reality of doing so and will likely mean a longer wait time. We do our best to move through the forum as quickly as possible and kindly ask that our users wait patiently while we work our way through questions.
That being said, I did personally respond to this question yesterday, so I’m not entirely sure why you’re not seeing the response. Whatever the case may be, here is my original response from that thread placed in here for you to see:
Hey Paula,
Thanks for writing in! Regarding your question on setting a “forced size” image for the lightbox, not only is this not recommended since X is a responsive design, it is not implemented with our lightbox functionality for this very reason. Setting up a lightbox image will automatically open the image to the full size of the image and it will resize as needed as the screen sizes down. Setting a forced size negates this and will present issues as your screen is sized smaller. We instead recommend you go about setting things up the prescribed way we go over in the [lightbox] article in the Knowledge Base, as it goes into great detail (much more than I can share here) on how to get things up and running.
If you’re trying to implement HTML into the lightbox, you can check out this post and this post as they both go into detail on setting this up as it’s a little outside the scope of the way we’ve implemented the script into the theme.
Thanks!
